Born 1944 in the city of Leeds, situated in the north of England.   Stuart joined his father’s bed linen and soft furnishing business after he left school at age 17 and worked with him for 30 years until he died in 1988. Says Stuart: “I learned my trade through my father from the grassroots to becoming very knowledgeable in Soft Furnishings. After his passing, I was invited to join an acquaintance of mine who was starting in the same business. I spent 20 happy years with him.”  
Stuart’s hobbies were following his favorite soccer team, Leeds United and singing in choirs. These hobbies are current in his new life.
After Stuart retired in August 2010 he and his wife Dianne decided to come and live in Israel. They arrived in February 2011 and settled in Raanana. Within a week of their arrival, Stuart had joined choirs, but he wanted something else. He found the ESRA Charity Shop which he realized was perfect for him and has worked there as a volunteer ever since, maintaining the volume of donated items displayed and presented in the shop.
Stuart’s eldest son lives in Melbourne, Australia. His other sons live in London and Manchester, England.
